A deli in Kildare town which was established 20 years ago has announced that it will close its doors.

Mary-Kathryn's Deli, which is located on Academy Street, took to its official Facebook page to announce the news.

The business specialises in serving salads, dinners, breads, coffee and sweet treats.

Explaining the situation, Mary-Kathryn herself said: "To all my wonderful customers: my lovely little shop will be closing for good on Friday, December, 2025.

"After an amazing 20 years, I’ve taken the decision to sell up and take a step back and spend more time with my family."

Mary-Kathryn clarified that while she has enjoyed her time at the business over the past two decades, she added that she is "now looking forward to the next chapter".

She also said: "Thank you Kildare town for your continued support over the years… it’s been hugely appreciated."

Mary-Kathryn concluded: "I’ll look forward to catching up with you all over the next six weeks."
