Gardaí based in County Kildare are investigating after a theft was reported at a shop which specialises in selling equestrian products.

Details of this crime were highlighted by Garda Ann-Marie Reilly when she appeared as a guest on KFM on Wednesday, November 12 last.

She explained that the incident occurred at the TRI Equestrian Superstore, which is located in The Curragh, on Friday, November 7 last.

According to Gda Reilly, a male and female entered into the shop at around 4.30pm and stole an item from the premises (the exact nature of the stolen item was not disclosed by Gda Reilly).

She concluded by urging anyone with information relating to this incident to contact Kildare town Garda Station on 045 527 730.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged theft from a business premises in The Curragh, Newbridge, County Kildare, which occurred at approximately 4.30pm on the November 7 last."

The spokesperson added that the investigation is ongoing.
