Move to erect a music stage at Kildare recreation park

Kerdiffstown Park, near Naas

There are no plans at present to provide a canopy or stage area in the Kerdiffstown Park recreation and sports venue, on the outskirts of Naas.

Kildare County Council says any proposals to develop these facilities would involve investigating their feasibility for potential users - and how they could be constructed given the location  is a former landfill site “and the difficulties this could present for any foundations required.”

Cllr Fintan Brett asked about the possibility of providing the facility in Kerdiffstown Park “where a natural amphitheatre exists, to facilitate music/entertainment events during the summertime.”
