Kildare Junior champions, Grangenolvin booked their place in the Leinster Junior Club semi-final with a fine win over Cloughbawn of Wexford at Manguard Park, Hawkfield, this afternoon, on a final score line of Grangenolvin 1-17 Clouighbawn 1-12.

It was a game dominated by the Kildare boys, who led at the break 1-9 to 0-5, the goal coming right at the half-time whistle from Fionn Bergin, after a long ball in by Conall Bergin came off the upright to waiting corner forward who made no mistake.

While Conor McMahon made two fine saves in the second half for Grangenolvin the Kildare boys were never really troubled and while they did concede a late penalty, converted by  Bob Whitty, it made little difference as Grangenolvin booked their last four place against Barcelona in two weeks time.
