Kildare school to hold carol service in aid of Newbridge food parcel charity

"A Patrician Christmas" takes place on Wednesday, December 3 at St. Conleth’s Parish Church, Newbridge.

Titled, Celebrating our Community through Song and Spoken Word, the carol service, which is being organised by the Patrician Secondary School in Newbridge, is in aid of Newbridge Share Food. The event begins at 7:30pm.

On the night there will be performances from past and present staff, past and present students and the Newbridge Gospel Choir.

“All proceeds from the event will be going to the Newbridge Share Food group, who provide about 120 packs of food each week to people in the Newbridge community that are finding things difficult,” said a school spokesperson.

Tickets are on sale in the school office and cost €10.

“While this is a coming together of our Patrician Community it is hoped that at the same time we are helping those in need in our locality in the lead up to Christmas,” he added.
