Kildare's Maynooth University welcomed hundreds of families, students and science enthusiasts to the North Campus for Science Night 2025, organised by the Faculty of Science and Engineering on November 14 last.
Held across the TSI and Callan Buildings, the event offered a hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for all ages, as part of Science Week 2025, which ran from November 9-16.
Visitors enjoyed a wide range of interactive activities and live demonstrations. Robot Soccer drew crowds as autonomous robots competed on the pitch, showcasing the engineering behind their behaviour.

Maths Through Magic Tricks combined illusion with number patterns, while CSI Maynooth invited attendees to step into the role of forensic investigators solving a fictional campus mystery.
The chemistry and biology zones captivated guests with experiments highlighting MU research into greener energy solutions.
Meanwhile, astronomy enthusiasts gathered for 'When Ireland Looks Up: Irish Adventures in Astronomy', a series of talks exploring Ireland’s contributions to our understanding of the cosmos.
The event offered attendees of all ages an opportunity to engage directly with science and see first-hand how research and innovation are shaping the world.
