Overcrowding eases at Kildare's main hospital today

Eight people treated on trolleys

Kildare's Naas General Hospital advises patients with non-emergency conditions to seek assistance from other parts of the health service

Eight patients were treated on trolleys at Naas Hospital today, having been admitted through the accident adn emergency department.

It was the second least overcrowded facility in the eastern region. Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown and Tallaght Hospital had no patients on trolleys.

There were no patients on trolleys at Tullamore Hospital or Portlaoise Hospital.
