Naas Roads Policing Unit (Naas RPU) were out on their Christmas Campaign in Kildare when they spotted a motorist driving and holding a mobile phone.
After stopping the car, Gardaí discovered the driver had no valid insurance.
The vehicle was immediately seized.
The driver faces a day in court, a likely disqualification, a €5000 fine, a €120 Fixed Charge Penaly Notice (FCPN), and 3 penalty points.
