A new €1.5 million residential development has been proposed for Allen Court in Kilmeague in Co Kildare.
The plans, lodged with Kildare County Council, would see the demolition and removal of three unfinished and dilapidated dwelling sub-bases located on sites 2, 3 and 4 within the Allen Court estate.
In their place, the developer is seeking permission for the construction of 11 new housing units across four buildings.
The proposed development includes two semi-detached, two-storey three-bedroom homes, alongside two terraced blocks comprising a mix of three-bedroom two-storey houses and two-bedroom storey-and-a-half dwellings.

The application also outlines plans to decommission and remove an existing unfinished or abandoned sewage treatment area on the site, which currently includes manually emptied holding tanks and associated plant infrastructure.
A new wastewater treatment system is proposed to serve both the new homes and existing properties in the development.
Additional site works include bin stores, garden landscaping and parking.
