An information event on e-scooters is being held by local gardai at Whitewater Shopping Centre, Newbridge, Kildare on Wednesday, March 4 next.
Gardai from Newbridge Garda Station will hold an information stall on e-scooter use between 11am and 1pm, and encourage members of the public to participate.
The public are encouraged to speak to gardai about e-scooter legislation, e-scooter offences and e-scooter safety advice.

In particular, gardai are appealing to parents who are considering purchasing an e-scooter for their child, to speak to gardai first for essential advice.
In recent weeks, gardai in Kildare have seized e-scooters that did not comply with legal requirements, particularly in relation to their size and the speed in which they can travel.
E-scooters have also been seized where they were being operated by young people under the age of sixteen.
