Husband 'kicked his partner and hit her in the head' - Kildare court claim

Naas Courthouse

A woman told Naas District Court she was kicked and hit in the head by her husband.

“I’m terrified he’ll hit me or the children,” she told the court.

She further alleged that the man has an alcohol problem and was undertaking counselling.

The woman said she had gone on a “severe drinking session” and he had taken drugs as well.

She added: "He was off his head.”

Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an interim protection order and adjourned the matter to September 14. The man was not present in court and neither was he represented.
