Road bollards will be taken away from a section of road in Naas to facilitate a festival event.
Naas mayor Seamie Moore asked if Kildare County Council would do this at the canal road and Abbey Street on Sunday, May 17, “to facilitate assembling, re-routing of traffic and to offer safety to those participating in the Bealtaine Festival event” as well as to assist people living in the area.
KCC said, at a Naas Municipal District meeting, it will arrange for the removal of the bollards to facilitate the event and “to support the safe running of the parade.”
