A brand-new parent peer support group has been set up in County Kildare, and it is completely free of charge to attend.

Aimed at parents with children aged between 0 and 3 years of age, the group aims to be "a relaxed and friendly space to meet other parents, share experiences, ask questions and build connections".

According to the organisers, each session will include: entertainment, free tea and coffee, arts and crafts and a chance for children to play.

The new group will meet up on the first Wednesday of each month, starting from April 8.

Each session will be held inside Newbridge Parish Centre from 10am until 11.30am.
