Gardai are investigating a burglary that occurred between April 2 and April 8 2026 at an ESB station in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

Details of the crime were relayed to Kfm host Hannah Kelly by Gda Aidan McGrath of Maynooth Garda Station on Kfm's Crime Slot section earlier today (April 15 2026.)

According to Gda McGrath, an employee discovered that a container had been broken into at the ESB site, and a ladder from the container used to climb over a fence into a restricted area.

Once the suspects were in the restricted area, they had access to copper wire which they subsequently stole a large amount of.
