It's the end of an era for a South Kildare pub as it closes its doors after 130 years.
Tributes have been paid to Willie and Karen Doyle as they call last orders on W Doyle's Pub on Woodstock Street in Athy.
The Athy Town Promoters group wished Willie and Karen the very best as they retired.
A spokesperson said: "What a loss for Athy - a place that has been at the heart of the town for generations.
"It was never just a local pub; it was a truly special community space where stories were shared, friendships were formed, and laughter was never in short supply.
"Willie, in particular, was always a fantastic supporter of local events, clubs, and initiatives like Athy Shop Local. That kind of dedication never goes unnoticed and has meant so much to so many.
"Thank you both for the countless memories created within those four walls.
"You’ve left a lasting mark on the community.
"Wishing you a long, happy, and healthy retirement - enjoy every single minute."
