There is concern over the lack of bus shelters and cycle lanes in Kildare

There is mounting concern over the lack of bus shelters and cycle lanes across Kildare.

Ten councillors - all members of the Fine Gael party - want action to be taken to address a shortage of infrastructure.

They are asking Kildare County Council to "request an urgent meeting" with the National Transport Authority (NTA) and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).

They want to "discuss the design and provision of cycle lanes, sustainable transport and bus shelters."
