Hundreds of enthusiastic fans gathered at Newbridge Silverware in County Kildare on April 22 to welcome one of Ireland’s most beloved entertainers, Daniel O'Donnell, and his wife Majella O'Donnell, as they officially opened a new exhibition in the Museum of Style Icons.

Titled “Daniel & Majella O’Donnell – Music, Style & Memories,” the exhibition offers a heartfelt and intimate look into the couple’s life together, as well as Daniel’s decades-long career in music and entertainment. The launch event was marked by a warm and celebratory atmosphere, with fans travelling from across Ireland and beyond for the opportunity to meet the couple in person.

The exhibition features a carefully curated collection of stage-worn costumes, personal accessories and memorabilia that chart Daniel’s journey from humble beginnings to international stardom. Among the highlights are standout performance outfits worn during his extensive touring career, alongside deeply personal items including the couple’s wedding attire, offering visitors a rare glimpse into cherished private moments.

Speaking at the launch, Daniel O’Donnell expressed his gratitude for the continued support of his fans, noting that the exhibition is as much a celebration of them as it is of his career. Majella added that sharing these personal pieces was a meaningful way to connect with the people who have supported them over the years. Daniel also took to the stage, delighting the crowd by performing several of his best-known songs.

The exhibition not only celebrates Daniel’s musical legacy but also showcases the couple’s enduring partnership and influence on Irish popular culture. Through photographs, storytelling and artefacts, visitors are invited into a world of music, memories and timeless style.

In a significant development, the collection will now form part of the museum’s permanent exhibition, ensuring fans and visitors can continue to enjoy the tribute for years to come.

The Museum of Style Icons at Newbridge Silverware is open seven days a week. Admission is free and visitors of all ages are welcome. For more information, visit the Newbridge Silverware website.
