A daylight criminal damage incident which occurred in County Kildare has led to a garda investigation.

When asked by the Leinster Leader about this crime, a garda spokesperson responded: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged incident of criminal damage of a car at a residential estate in Maynooth, County Kildare on Wednesday, April 15 last between 5pm and 6pm."

The spokesperson added: "Investigations are ongoing."
