Monasterevin sees its biggest Christmas Markets planned for December 11.
In its 7th year, 2022 plans to be the best one yet, according to the organisers.
The Peoples Market in Monasterevin has been running since 2016, and the concept as a homage to The Sale Of Work of the 70’s and 80’s. Local entrepreneurs, community and voluntary groups as well as small craft business and small local business will be showcasing their makes, bakes, creations and crafts.
This year they will be utilising two community locations, the Community Centre, on Whelan Street, formerly known as the CYMS, where the original Sale of Work took place.
The other location is the Council Hall on Main Street, only a stone's throw from the Community Centre.
Both these locations have been renovated over the years and are now two fantastic resources in the town. Over 30 traders will be taking part in the Market and both locations will have unique products, gifts, Christmas faire and crafts for all your festival needs and presents.
This year sees the market become more involved in the circular economy of Monasterevin with a huge commitment to “local”.
A raffle is planned for the day with a Giant Hamper from Supervalu as first prize. This will see the winner, sorted for all their festive needs and the proceeds going to local charity.
Ice skating tickets, and cinema tickets are just some of the fab prizes on offer.
Tickets available on the day - three for €5.
We hope to see you all on December 11 from 10am to 4pm.
