A business planted 125 fruit trees at the Peter McVerry Trust's (PMT) premises in Naas on Friday last.
Tate, a member of the Kingspan Group, donated 125 mixed fruit trees for the charity’s mid-east regional facility as part of the Planet Passionate Communities initiative.
The donation brings the total number of fruit trees donated by Tate this year to 250.
Pat Doyle, CEO of PMT, said: "Tate has been a consistent supporter of the Peter McVerry Trust and this latest donation of fruit trees for our service in Kildare is one that we are very grateful for once again.
"We are a supporting organisation of the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan, and our goal is to make the best possible use of our outdoor spaces in terms of biodiversity and conservation.
He added: "Our commitment to improving and building facilities that support those who need us most, includes the outdoor space in their environments; that’s why the orchard at our Kildare facility is important to us.”
Shane McMahon, General Manager at Tate, also said: "As part of our Planet Passionate Communities initiative, Tate are delighted to continue our support with Peter McVerry Trust by donating a further 125 mixed fruit trees to expand on their biodiversity garden.
"Our joint efforts are in support of not only the ongoing maintenance work at their much-needed facility in County Kildare, but also to support the creation of natural habitats that helps to increase local species, such as bees and insects."
