The family of Trevor Deely, who went missing in 2000, has released a new appeal for their missing relative.

Trevor disappeared in Dublin in the early hours of December 8, 2000, following a work Christmas party.

The anniversary of his disappearance takes place just one day before National Missing Person's Day.

Trevor's sister, Michele, has told the Leinster Leader that there has been no substantial leads since the family released an appeal this time last year.

Despite this, she says that her family 'push harder every year' to find Trevor.

She explained: "Every year it does get tougher, especially for my parents, but we know that at least one person knows what happened to Trevor.

"We would urge anyone who knows anything to please contact the Garda Confidential phoneline; there is nothing to be lost (by doing so). We just want to find him."

Michele further pointed out that 2022 in particular is especially 'poignant', as it is marks the 22nd anniversary of his disappearance, while Trevor himself was 22 years of age when he disappeared.

She also said that she attended an event marking National Missing Person's Day 2022 yesterday, while a mass for Trevor will take place tomorrow, December 9, in the Church of the Irish Martyrs in Ballycane at 7pm.

Those who wish to attend the event are encouraged to pray for Trevor and Deely Family.

LAST SEEN
An employee of Bank of Ireland, Trevor left the party at approximately 3.25am and briefly stopped off at work to meet with a workmate of his who was working the nightshift.

Trevor was last sighted on CCTV passing a Bank of Ireland ATM on Haddington Road at approximately 4.14am, walking in the direction of his flat.

Anyone with information relating to Trevor Deely's whereabouts can contact any Garda station, the confidential line on 1800 666111, or Crimecall on 1800 405060.
