The damaged windows at the home of Eugene McGuinness
Sinn Féin TD Kathleen Funchion has condemned an attack on the home of a city-based councillor.
The home of Councillor Eugene McGuinness at Bishop Birch Place in Kilkenny City was targeted by criminals yesterday evening.
Windows were smashed and considerable damage was caused to a van belonging to the public representative. The councillor was in his home when the incident took place at approximately 8pm.
"What happened is horrific and should be condemned. It shouldn't happen to anyone," she said.
