A huge Cheltenham Festival Preview Night was held at the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny on Saturday, March 11.
Over 100 people and 2,500 people watched live online a star-studded panel of guests including TV pundit Jane Mangan, trainer Tony Mullins, jockey JJ Slevin, professional punter Luke McMahon, assistant trainer Lisa O’ Neill and MC for the night Ian Fortune.
The guests on the night were treated to great panel discussions and there was a raffle of a stable tour to Willie Mullins’ yard kindly offered by Willie and Patrick Mullins. The huge success contributed to over €4,000 euro being raised for Carlow and Kilkenny Homecare which provides vital palliative care services across the Carlow and Kilkenny region.
-Professional punter Luke McMahon choose Good Time Johnny as his Charity bet on the night and the horse duly obliged at 14/1 for the charity fund.
Gold Cup winner Galopin de Champs received a hero’s welcome in Leighlinbridge last week.
