An Bord Pleanála
An Bord Pleanála will now decide the fate of 59 houses and 38 apartments planned for a site in Kilkenny, following an appeal against Kilkenny County Council's decision to refuse permission.
Kilkenny Walsh Limited had been seeking permission to develop a site at Mountsion, Mount Sion Road, Ferrybank, Co. Kilkenny.
Their planning application also sought permission for demolition works and associated site development works.
Kilkenny County Council refused permission on April 28, 2023.
Their reasons for refusing permission included concern about the scale of the development and its visual impact, road related issues and environmental impact concerns.
The case is to be decided by An Bord Pleanála by September 26, 2023.
