The second meeting of the Kilkenny History Mappers takes place on Tuesday, July 18th at 8:30pm in Bollard's Bar.
The group, which met for the first time in June, discussed mapping local historical sites including; parish boundaries, mass paths and tower houses, via the online platform, ‘OpenStreetMap’.
This month's meeting will focus on the marking of Kilkenny based tower houses.
People who are interested in learning about the benefits of mapping with the 'OpenStreetMap' platform or wish to learn more about their local history are welcome to attend. A laptop is recommended.
