Mary Fitzgerald in international action at the World Championships in Paris
Callan’s Mary Fitzgerald hit the international stage after being named in the Irish team to compete at the Para Athletics World Championships in Paris this week.
Fitzgerald reached the final, placing seventh overall in the shot put competition. Fitzgerald set a season's best for herself in her third attempt of the morning. The Kilkenny athlete finished with 7.84 being her high score of the morning which landed her in 7th place.
