Kilkenny parish looking for volunteers as countdown to community event continues

Kilkenny parish looking for volunteers for event later this summer

The annual ‘Danesfort Field Day’ is fast approaching and event organisers are looking for assistance.

The much anticipated occasion is scheduled for Sunday, August 27 and will include a wide range of activities.

Wheel of fortune, a dog show and children’s races are just some offerings on the day.

Local sports fans won’t be forgotten either! Stars of the future will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in under-age hurling and camogie blitzes throughout the event.

Those attending are also being invited to take a breather from a busy afternoon, with tea, coffee and a barbeque just some of the options available.

In order to make these plans a reality, the committee is requesting extra  volunteers to help out on the day.

Volunteer forms are available at the back of the churches in the parish.
