ALL-IRELAND TRAFFIC UPDATE: Tailbacks as fans experience delays en route to Croke Park

GARDAI advise there is heavy traffic where the Limerick and Kilkenny supporters merge on the route to Croke Park.

"Traffic is heavy where the M7 and M9 merge in Co Kildare. Traffic is slow from J12 on the M7 and J2 on the M9," report gardai.

One fan making his way to Dublin said: "There was about a six minute delay at the toll. I'm just past the Monasterevin turn-off, around 70kms out from Dublin."

He said that traffic is currently moving at just 40kmph and getting slower.

Meanwhile, a collision earlier on the M7 near Nenagh, which caused delays, has been cleared.

Gardai are warning fans once they get to Croke Park that vehicle clamping will be in in operation in areas around stadium for cars that are illegally parked.
