A Kilkenny driver was clocked travelling at 141 kilometres in a 120 kilometre zone on National Slow Down Day.
The driver was caught when driving at Knocktopher on the M9 motorway.
Gardaí continue to appeal to drivers to comply with speed limits in order to reduce the number of speed related collisions, save lives and reduce injuries on our roads.
National Slow Down Day took place on Monday (yesterday) across the country with over 310 vehicles travelling in excess of the applicable speed limit.
