Kilkenny man David Hughes has cut off his long locks of hair, which he has been growing for over three years, for charity.

To date over €1,500 has been raised for the Locks of Love for LauraLynn - hair donation fundraiser.

“I’ve been growing the hair since lock down number one in 2020. It started as an, ‘Ah sure I'll just let it grow for a bit’. Then it just got longer and gingerer! That was three and a half years ago now and its finally time to shed these glorious locks,” he said.
Funds raised will be donated for children with life-limiting conditions in LauraLynn while Davy’s locks will also be used to create a wig for a child in need through The Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs to both children and adults who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions.
