New candidate to bid for election in South Kilkenny

Damien Donoghue

Ferrybank resident Damien Donoghue has been confirmed as a new Fine Gael candidate for next year’s local election in Piltown Municipal District.

He is poised to make his bid for election in 2024 alongside current sitting district party colleagues, Cllr Fidelis Doherty and Cllr Pat Dunphy.

Originally from Roscommon, Donoghue has lived in the Ferrybank area for the last seven years with his wife and young family.

He describes himself as being ‘passionate about improving the lives of the local community to ensure to ensure Ferrybank is the best place to live, work and raise a family’.

He is an active member of the Bellfield Residents’ Association, is studying to become a fully qualified Special Needs Assistant and is involved in local sport.
