Local DJs Amos, Swiss, Emma J White, Shorey and Boo K joined forces for a brilliant night of music and dancing at a very special fundraiser at Set Theatre.
Over €3,000 was raised from the event and all proceeds were donated to Spina Bifida Ireland and will be used to fund respite care.
“The organisers want to thank everyone who came to Set Theatre to support our fundraiser, over 250 people showed up eager to dance to good music and help support a great cause,” said local DJ, Shane Tobler.
“We also want to thank you Eddie Langton and the staff at Langton’s who helped us make this event possible,” he added.
Spina bifida literally means ‘split spine’. Spina Bifida is a condition which affects approximately 1 in every 1,000 children born per year in Ireland.
Ireland has one of the highest incidences of spina bifida births in the developed world. It is the most common neural tube defect (NTD) which causes incomplete development of the spinal cord.
