Female entrepreneurs and budding businesswomen from across Kilkenny are being encouraged to “Empower Business Together” and register for this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day events.
This year the Kilkenny event, entitled Transform your Business Mindset with Trisha Lewis, is taking place in The Parade Tower, Kilkenny Castle from 12pm - 2pm.
Eimear Ní Bhraonáin will interview Leading Light, Janet Beck of Glass Eye Productions and guest speaker Trisha Lewis of Trisha's Transformation, about their entrepreneurial journeys, optimistic outlooks, and business wisdom they have picked up along the way.
The Local Enterprise Office (LEO) initiative, now in its 17th year, will take place with events across the country on Thursday, October 19.
The theme of this year’s event ‘Empowering Business Together’ will embrace a range of themes and challenges that are being faced by women in business and will outline the key supports that are available from financial and consultancy to training and mentoring.
The Kilkenny business lunchtime seminar is specifically designed for female entrepreneurs who are looking to enhance their business skills, gain knowledge, and network with like-minded individuals.
The seminar aims to provide valuable insights, actionable tips, and practical strategies for success in the business world.
Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Cllr Michael Doyle, said; “National Women’s Enterprise Day is an opportunity to showcase and hear from successful entrepreneurs who are building for the future. This year is no different, but we are very much looking forward to it. The role of the Local Enterprise Office is to support entrepreneurs in County Kilkenny, to sustain and develop their businesses and ideas going into the future.”
Aileen McGrath, Acting Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office, said; “Now in its seventeenth year, National Women’s Enterprise Day is an important milestone in the Local Enterprise Office calendar. It gives us the opportunity to highlight the success stories of women in County Kilkenny who continue to do amazing things in business, across every sector.
The day itself is also an opportunity for businesswomen to network, engage, share tips and advice and to find out what supports are available for their business through their Local Enterprise Office.”
Places are limited for this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day Kilkenny event.
