The Good Shepherd Centre in Kilkenny is calling on local businesses to join their '12 Days of Christmas' campaign to 'give people hope in a housing crisis'.
The campaign launches in MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre on Friday, December 1 and will run until Tuesday, December 12.
Local businesses can support the initiative by pledging a minimum donation of €100 to sponsor a day during the campaign, host a small event of your choice, such as a staff Christmas jumper day or by inviting the Good Shepherd team to your premises for three hours on a day of your choice during the campaign, allowing them to engage with the public and share their stories of combating homelessness in the local community.
The centre on Church Lane in Kilkenny City offers 38 emergency homeless beds in dedicated hostel and apartment accommodation and offers a wide range of services including; harm reduction programs, access to health treatments and assistance in finding a home.
To join this initiative, email the Good Shepherd Centre at media@gsck.ie to express your interest and a representative will guide you through the process of becoming a part of the campaign and playing your part in combating homelessness.
