House ransacked and jewellery stolen in Kilkenny burglary

Breaking: Two males arrested in connection with Johnstown burglary

Kilkenny garda are investigating

The back door of a house was forced open and the property was ransacked during a burglary in the Castlecomer Road area of Kilkenny City.

The break-in took place at a house in Auburn Drive on the Castlecomer Road between 7.50pm and 11.05pm on November 7.

The homeowner returned home at 11.05pm to find the house had been ransacked.

Entry had been gained through forcing the back door and jewellery consisting of a number of rings were stolen from the house.

Gardai in Kilkenny are investigating and would like to hear from anyone who might have witnessed anything of a suspicious nature on the Castlecomer Road in Kilkenny between 7.30pm and 11.30pm on November 7 to contact them.
