It was a dream come true for Morgan McEnroe yesterday as he delivered a dazzling knock-out victory to claim the ISKA Elite Amateur Four Nations title 67kg FC title in Nottingham, England.
The Kilkenny Combat Academy starlet was clinical and efficient in his high-stakes title bout versus Dominik Bularz (England).
Fighter Darren Cornally also represented Kilkenny with distinction in his bout versus Vojtech Sykora (England) for the ISKA Elite Amateur Four Nations title 100kg FC.
An intense contest came down to the final decision of the judges, with the Kilkenny man just losing out - although a possibility of a rematch looms large.
Both fighters are coached by fellow Kilkenny man Adam Doyle.
