Kilkenny carol service returns for 21st year with exciting line-up

Kilkenny carol service returns for 21st year

The 21st Christmas candlelight carol service will be held in the Inistioge Parish Church on Sunday, December 17 at 7pm.

The night will feature traditional Christmas carols as well as some well-known Christmas songs.

Performers on the evening will include, The Inistioge Parish Choir, In Caelo Chamber Choir, Inistioge School Choir and Peace Light Inistioge Scouts.

Founded by Phillip Hardy in 2002, the service has proved to be hugely popular amongst the local community since its inception, with numerous highlights over the years including a special appearance from the late Brendan Bowyer.

Bowyer visited the local parish in 2008 and enthralled the congregation with a range of musical performances including 'Silent Night' where he and Fr Seamus McEvoy performed the German and English version for a pageant depicting the Christmas Eve ceasefire World War One.
