Staff at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny were delighted to welcome the first baby of the New Year at 3.07am.
Mother and baby are doing well and staff are besotted with little Nina who weighed 2990 grams.
Proud parents Simona Natassa and Ciaran were over the moon to meet their daughter and little sister to brother, Jace (6) in what was the perfect start of the New Year.
