The issue was discussed at the latest meeting of the Callan-Thomastown Municipal District

Ramps in large Kilkenny community 'not in good shape' according to a Kilkenny councillor

The deterioration of Danesfort's ramps was raised at the December meeting of the Callan-Thomastown Municipal District.

Councillors were told of the possible repair or removal of the anti-speed measures.

Cllr Patrick O'Neill said at least one of the ramps is 'not in great shape' because of the frequent, heavy vehicles travelling over it.

Area Engineer, Declan Murphy, was aware of the issue and told the meeting one of the ramps might have to be taken out in the new year.
