A Kilkenny GAA club aims to get people walking in 2024

To kickstart the new year Danesfort GAA club have joined up with Ireland Lights Up, in partnership with Operation Transformation. The aim is to schedule two nights of the week for the community to come together, get out walking and get some fresh air for everyone’s health and well-being.

A great way to meet other members of the community, friends and family are all welcome. People are asked to park at the club rooms and walk only on the lit part of the walking track. If parking is unavailable at the club rooms, park in front of the school and enter the walking track at the gate behind the goals on the old pitch or by the main entrance.

The club aims to be part of the Operation Transformation programme in 2025 - the more people who participate this year, the higher the club’s chances are next year. To sign in on arrival go to the small room in the prefab at the club to sign in.
