 Drainage improvement project underway in Kilkenny housing estate

Residents of Glendine Heights can look forward to improved living conditions as Kilkenny County Council kicks off a comprehensive surface water drainage enhancement project in the area according to local councillor, John Coonan.

The local authority has commenced extensive works to upgrade and repair the existing drainage scheme in the estate. This crucial initiative aims to address the challenges posed by the original construction, which did not adequately consider the drainage needs of the growing community.

Cllr John Coonan, in advocating for the prioritisation of these vital works expressed his gratitude to the dedicated council workers, he acknowledges the magnitude of this undertaking and emphasises the long-term benefits it will bring to the residents of Glendine Heights.

Kilkenny County Council extends appreciation to the residents for their cooperation and understanding during the course of this significant project. While disruptions may be experienced, the Council assures the community that every effort will be made to minimise inconvenience.
