Details for this year’s Corn Ui Dhúill Leinster Senior A Hurling Final have been confirmed with St Kieran's College and Kilkenny CBS set to collide in the decider for the first time since 2017 with UPMC Nowlan Park the venue for the game on Wednesday week.

Despite being the current All-Ireland holders and the most successful school in the competition, Kieran's haven't won the provincial crown in five years and they booked their spot in Wednesday week's game when defeating the combined Offaly Schools earlier this week.

Offaly Schools were weakened from their Leinster winning team of a year previous as a result of Colaiste Naomh Cormac, Kilcormac's participation in the A grade and Kieran's took advantage in a game they never really looked like losing.

Kieran's made use of the wind advantage to lead by double scores at the interval with St Martin's star Sean Hunt leading the way with four points from play.

The combined Offaly Schools kept at it with Liam O'Riordan and Shane Rigney popping over efforts but on the back of two huge Ed McDermott efforts, Kieran's did enough to book their spot in the final against their closest rivals.

Kilkenny CBS on the other hand are aiming to win a first Leinster title since 2014 as they look to move above St Peter's of Wexford and into second spot on their own in the roll of honour and they edged past Good Counsel in their last four meeting in Piltown.

There was a number of Kilkenny stars present on both teams and the CBS did all the ground work for the win in the opening period as they led 1-11 to 1-3.

The Kilkenny school were rampant from the off with Dicksboro's Brian Moore netting a goal as the opening score of the game.

Good Counsel did hit back with a goal of their own from Sean O'Brien but with a strong breeze at their back, the CBS dominated the rest of the half with Anthony Clifford, Mikey Stynes and Ryan Corcoran starring as they led 1-11 to 1-3 at the break.

Good Counsel were able to call on the likes of All-Ireland Junior Club championship winner with Tullogher Rosbercon, Marty Murphy and they ate into the deficit when full forward Paul Walsh barged his way through the Kilkenny CBS defence before shooting past Daniel Power.

It was then anyone's game in the final quarter but CBS managed to knock over the last two points of the second half and seal their place in the final.

The much anticipated clash will be screened exclusively on Clubber TV a week on Wednesday.
