A Kilkenny town takes the fight to rubbish

Communities from Coolagh, Baunta, Kyle and the Coolagh Road in Callan took part in a big clean up on Sunday morning.

Over 65 people took part in the now annual big litter pick from the Callan bypass exit onto the Coolagh Road all the way to the edge of Windgap village. The New Line was also covered by the residents in that area.

The morning was a real family effort throughout as the group helped to rid the ditches and hedgerows of unsightly rubbish.

he whole clean up was organised by the Coolagh committee along with the help of Kilkenny County Council and An Taisce.
