James Stephens captain Noah Manogue and Allen Larkin receive the Minor A Championship trophy from BNG Chairman Willie Dempsey
By Michael Moore:
Kilkenny league and championship medals were presented to 71 players at under-15 and under-17 levels for their county title successes in 2022 and 2023 in the clubrooms on Saturday.
Before the presentation vice-chairman Dr Brendan Lee urged the players to stay loyal to the game as they progress to third level colleges by involving themselves with college hurling teams at Freshers and Fitzgibbon Cup levels to keep improving their skill. Brendan reminded the players that they are the future of the club and should retain ambition to add to the club’s Kilkenny league and championship successes over the decades.
The medals for the 2023 Kilkenny minor hurling league and championship, the 2022 minor hurling league, the minor C hurling shield, the under-15 A shield and Paddy Grace titles were presented by the club’s eight times All-Ireland medalist Eoin Larkin.
