Residents in two Kilkenny City housing estates have been given a major boost this week following the allocation of funding for roadworks and footpath upgrades later this year.
St Fiacre's Place: €140,000 in funding has been approved to complete upgrade works on the roads and footpaths in the estate.
In 2023, one side of the street's footpaths were upgraded in the first stage of the construction works.
Maple Drive, Elm Green & Hawthorn Avenue: Funding has been approved to complete extensive road & footpath repairs and replacement in Maple Drive, Elm Green & Hawthorn Avenue.
The works are set to begin later this year.
