TROLLEY WATCH: Concerning figures emerge from St Luke's Hospital - Kilkenny Live

The number of people without a bed has risen significantly at St Luke's General Hospital

There are 15 patients waiting on a trolley in the emergency department at St Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny today and 12 further patients waiting on the wards.

Today's figures are the highest in the local hospital this week, with 27 patients without a bed a leap from 20 yesterday (Wednesday).

Nationally, there are 400 patients waiting for beds and a further 145 patients waiting on the wards.

That's according to the daily INMO Trolley Watch Survey.
