RTE broadcaster, Des Cahill was asked if he was the 'stripper' during a recent visit to Kilkenny.
Mr Cahill is a familiar figure nationwide, featuring on many of the station's most-famous sports programmes down through the years including, The Sunday Game on RTE Television and Sunday Sport on RTE Radio.
However, despite numerous media opportunities being pitched to the sports broadcaster in the past, it's unlikely he's received a request like this before.
It's understood Mr Cahill was in the Marble City for a family wedding.
