New wellness centre to host full day retreat in Kilkenny

New wellness centre to host full day retreat in Kilkenny

Koru Wellness was launched last year by Kilkenny woman Jennie Cantwell

Kilkenny’s new holistic wellness centre is set to host an exclusive full day retreat, Invigorate You, on April 14 at the Pembroke Kilkenny.

The event coincides with the first anniversary of Koru Wellness.

Koru Wellness was launched last year by Kilkenny woman Jennie Cantwell to offer a range of holistic services under one roof. Having spent extensive time in New Zealand and experiencing a very holistic approach to life and work, she saw the benefits first hand of how supporting health and wellbeing impacts all areas of life.

Situated in the heart of Kilkenny's Castle Yard, it is a local hub dedicated to holistic wellbeing. Offering diverse classes,  workshops and retreats, the studio is led by passionate, heart-driven facilitators committed to guiding individuals toward balance and tranquillity.

“We have had an incredible response from the community, as people search for ways to reduce stress, take some time out and create space for calm within their busy day. We are delighted to be celebrating our first anniversary with the Invigorate You Wellness Day. This retreat provides a space to nurture wellbeing and brings together a collaboration of all the services available at the studio," said Jennie.

The Invigorate You event is a celebration of renewed energy, designed to invigorate and lift guests’ vibration heading into the summer months and the new energy it brings.

The day will include a wide range of wellness sessions including gentle movement, meditation, cacao ceremony, Pilates, mindfulness, sound bath, kundalini yoga, rose tea ceremony and shamanic journeying. The event is held in the prestigious Pembroke Kilkenny. A delicious, nourishing lunch and healthy snacks are provided by Statham’s Restaurant.

The retreat is open to all, and participants can expect a day of relaxation with a focus on rejuvenating and gentle energising sessions, designed for the mind, body, and soul. There is plenty of time to reflect and connect throughout the day with a communal lunch and an opportunity to meet and chat with others.

“With current daily demands, and rising stress and anxiety levels, many people are left feeling burnt out and depleted. Our vision is to create a safe space for everyone to nurture their wellbeing," added Jennie.

"The connection piece is very important, and we see it more and more - people want to feel good, and part of that is about feeling connected with others and being part of something bigger than ourselves. We are looking forward to bringing people together. Our goal is for everyone to leave feeling refreshed, invigorated and connected."
