Some of the best of Kilkenny’s musicians are lending their support to Solidarity Sunday, a fundraiser in aid of the Palestinian Red Crescent at Set Theatre this Sunday.
The event has received massive backing from local artists and the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign South-East branch said that they ‘couldn’t be prouder of the stance all the Kilkenny musicians have taken’ and are asking people to come out this Sunday (April 7) and enjoy in the day-long event which will see some of Kilkenny’s best known acts perform.
Headlined by the esteemed Engine Alley, Kilkenny artists and musicians have generously agreed to donate their time and talents for what promises to be a highly anticipated gig, likely to sell out quickly.
Other artists participating in Solidarity Sunday include The Barflies, The Donnys, Raindogs, Robert Grace, Dead Alien Tourist, Captain Moonlight and DJ’s Kevin and David Shore.
Doors open at 3 pm on Sunday, April 7 and people are been asked to show their support for a day filled with solidarity. Event organisers are also asking people to wear your solidarity colours and bring your flags to show how much Kilkenny cares.
Tickets are €20 and are available from www.set.ie/gigforgaza
