Ballyragget in Co Kilkenny has been given a boost with news of repair works due to take place in the area.
The surface on the Square at the bookmakers will be planed and resurfaced which is expected to solve the issue of water lodging in the area.
Meanwhile, the entrance to Brookhaven Nursing Home is also set to receive upgrade works with the uneven section set to be planed prior to the planned resurfacing.
"These works will benefit pedestrians and residents and assist in overall safe mobility," Fianna Fáil councillor, Michael McCarthy commented.
